I've decided to post my "winning" article from the 2007 Writer's Digest annual competition here, since I really don't have anywhere to submit it. It placed 7th in the article category. It's called "A Visit With the Green Fairy" and it's about absinthe. I had wanted to submit it to Imbibe magazine, but shortly after I'd won, they ran a piece on absinthe. I thought about Tin House, too, but they ran a piece on absinthe that they included in their anthology. That always seems to be the way for me. Anyway, hope you like it.
